Homes & Lifestyle

With everything from quaint single-family homes and residences with acreage to comfortable apartment complexes, Clay County has something to suit every lifestyle. The area’s diverse range of housing options is not the only appealing factor for current residents and those interested in relocation—Clay County offers excellent educational opportunities and is in close proximity to exceptional healthcare institutions and beautiful recreational sites, among other amenities.

The county offers a Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP), which “provides communities with a long-term increase and stabilization in their property tax base by encouraging rehabilitation and new construction within a designated area.” The entirety of Clay County is able to take advantage of this program, with residential revitalization covered up to $150,000, with the exception of Wakefield, which only offers the NRP program for commercial or industrial properties.
