The Pittsburg area provides an assortment of venues for outdoor recreation. Pittsburg’s Lincoln Park offers the use of three shelter houses, playground equipment, horseshoes, a mini-golf course, 9-hole disc golf course and a children’s amusement park. Schlanger Park is a large, open park and has basketball, tennis and sand volleyball courts, along with a new 18-hole disc golf course. During summer, the Pittsburg Aquatic Center provides a great spot for swimming and relaxing. Hikers and bikers will enjoy Wilderness Park, which includes four miles of trails. Bikers can also visit the 23rd Street Bike Park, which has three different trails and a skills area. Golfers can choose from four different courses, two 18-hole and two 9-hole. Visitors will also enjoy bountiful opportunities for hunting and fishing at state parks such as the Mined Land Wildlife Area and Crawford State Park in Farlington.
