Location and Transportation

Bossier City is located just minutes from the major metropolis of Shreveport. Road travel is easy, with interstates 20 and 49, and highways 71 and 79/80 serving these twin cities. The area is renowned for its commerce and the Port of Caddo-Bossier acts as a major economic powerhouse, providing both domestic and international access to trade.

Traveling by air is just as accessible, with Shreveport Regional Airport offering five airlines that provide flight service to Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Atlanta, Denver, Orlando and New Orleans. GLO is the newest airline to the Shreveport-Bossier area and made its debut in December 2015. GLO offers daily non-stop, round trip service from New Orleans to Shreveport. Combined, there are more than 62 scheduled arriving and departing flights among the carriers at Shreveport. Besides the direct destinations, travelers from Shreveport can connect to more than 250 other domestic and international destinations through one-stop service at one of the cities listed above.
