Vermilion Parish is part of the six-parish Acadiana region of Louisiana, located in the south-central portion of the state. A mere 20 miles from Lafayette and 150 miles from New Orleans, the parish is easily accessible from Interstate 10 via LA Highways 26 and 13, U.S. Highway 90 and Interstate 49. For those traveling from Texas, the parish is accessible from LA Highway 82.
