Education

The Old Orchard Beach High School is a nationally recognized “school of excellence.” The town is a member of RSU #23 which operates the education programs for grades K-12. All schools, Jameson (K-3), Loranger Middle School (4-8) and Old Orchard Beach High School (9-12) have been refurbished, rebuilt, or newly constructed within the last 20 years. The Regional School Unit 23 school system is abreast of the newest educational advances in the state.

The pursuit of excellence in education is strengthened by a balance that exists between academics, extracurricular activities and the concern for individual growth. The RSU 23 school system continues to grow with a vision toward the future by “preparing its citizens for the ever-changing needs of a global society.”
