Canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts leisurely explore the beauty and nature found in over 3,000 acres of marshes and rivers. The area is a popular destination for birdwatchers. Maine Audubon has a seasonal Nature Center located on the Scarborough Marsh. In addition, Scarborough has many miles of trails and conservation land for hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and horseback riding with some popular sites being Fuller Farm, the Eastern Trail and the Scarborough Wildlife Sanctuary.
