Welcome to Clarkston

As the 2018-2019 Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce President, I am honored to work alongside our dedicated board members who share a vision for business growth and building strong community ties.

The Chamber represents both community and business. Celebrating 32 years in 2018, our mission is to cultivate business opportunities and relationships for our members in the Clarkston Area. The Clarkston Area encompasses a region inclusive of Independence and Springfield Townships, The City of the Village of Clarkston, Davisburg and the Sashabaw and Dixie Highway corridors.

Our Chamber creates opportunities for growth in many ways. First, the Chamber provides services and creates events that directly benefit members. Second, we produce, orchestrate, and host events that benefit the entire community. A strong, vibrant community is good for business and strong businesses are good for the community! It’s an exciting time to be a resident of an area that offers an outstanding quality of life both personally and professionally.

There are endless networking opportunities with the Chamber. Business Over Breakfast, Luncheon Mixers and Business After Hours are just a few of our regular offerings. Additionally, each year our Chamber orchestrates many beloved community events, including the Taste of Clarkston, Golf Classic and Concerts in the Park. Some of our newer events continue to evolve and gain in popularity and include the Food Truck Rally, Murder Mystery Dinner hosted by our Young Professionals Network and the upcoming Holiday Market. We’re consistently listening to our Members and producing events that bring our community together while having a lot of fun.

As a Clarkston native and resident for almost 40 years, I take great pride in seeing our community flourish. I often refer to this area as “Mayberry” for its rare charm and natural beauty including our historic downtown. The Chamber is just one of the many reasons why Clarkston is a wonderful place to call home.

With nearly 600 members, I encourage you to see what the Chamber can offer you and what you can offer the Chamber. I’ve been fortunate to have served as this year’s president and look forward to leading next year’s board.

Sincerely,
Emily Ford
