Residential Living

Rochester continues its long standing reputation as an appealing residential area with the building of new homes and apartment and condominium complexes throughout the community. These new developments have joined the already-established neighborhoods in the area, creating a diverse array of housing options. Rochester’s ideal location affords access to high-quality educational facilities, medical centers, recreational areas and big-city amenities.

The city also provides an excellent site for senior living. In fact, 12 percent of the region’s population is 62 years of age and older, and that percentage is continually growing each year. The seniors of the Rochester area are provided with numerous retirement homes and assisted living centers, as well as the new 90,000-square-foot senior center run by the Older Persons’ Commission.
