Shopping & Dining

Diverse shopping sites span the greater Rochester region, with everything from smaller, independently-owned shops to larger, national chain retailers. Rochester’s hot spot for shopping is its downtown district, bringing in the majority of the area’s retail business. Over 200 unique businesses line Main Street in Rochester’s downtown shopping district, and the open-air Rochester Farmers’ Market takes over on the weekends between early May and late October, selling fresh, locally grown fruit, vegetables and additional goods.

The region is also home to the new Village of Rochester Hills outdoor shopping area. More than 50 national and local retail stores and restaurants make up this 375,000-square-foot downtown shopping area in nearby Rochester Hills.
