Parks and Recreation

The city offers 24 beautiful parks for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to the community. Walking and biking trails are available close to most of the parks, and all of the parks are suitable for bird watching.

With the city of Bemidji’s goal of promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, the Recreation Department offers many recreation and special event opportunities within the parks. Whether you enjoy yoga, crafts, games or biking, we have something for you. All activities and events are available for viewing on the city’s website at www.ci.bemidji.mn.us.

Park facilities are a great place to host a family reunion, picnic or wedding. For a complete listing of park facilities and amenities, or to reserve a park facility or field, please contact the Park and Recreation Department at 218.333.1860 or parks.recreation@ci.bemidji.mn.us.

Diamond Point Park

Located on the west shore of Lake Bemidji, this park recently underwent a revitalization process in 2008 that included a restoration of the lake’s edge and a redesign of the park’s amenities. Diamond Point Park includes picnic areas, walkways, a children’s play area, public beach area and more.
