Consisting of 14,427 acres, a majority of the city is located within Carver County. A 154-acre portion of eastern Chanhassen is located in Hennepin County.

Southwest Metro Transit is the public transit provider for the cities of Chanhassen, Chaska and Eden Prairie.

Transit services operate Monday — Friday and can connect customers to the following locations:

  • Downtown Minneapolis
  • Southdale
  • University of Minnesota
  • Local destinations within Chanhassen, Chaska and Eden Prairie
