graphicThose who reside in Chaska expect to see ice cream socials and band concerts in City Square Park. These and other activities are intended to bring people together. In addition, the community designed and built an award-winning community center with a commitment to having it become a casual "family gathering place." The center lived up to expectations, and in 1997, an arts wing opened. These are just some of the ways Chaska has maintained its original vision of being "A Quality Small Town."

For anyone who loves sports, Chaska has an extensive recreation program for children and adults. The city also has numerous recreational facilities, including miles of trails and acres of parks. In the summer, there are two swimming beaches within the city; and the community center pool is open year-round. Chaska now has three golf courses in town. The newest is the public, city-owned, Chaska Town Course, which was designed by nationally prominent Arthur Hills. It has routinely received high ratings in both state and national publications. Chaska is also home to Hazeltine National Golf Club, site of several major tournaments for men, women and seniors, including the 1991 U.S. Men's Open.
