Falcon Heights

With its beautifully maintained neighborhoods, it’s no surprise that Falcon Heights has been honored by the Department of Natural Resources with the "Tree City, USA" designation. It’s also fitting that the Minnesota State Horticultural Society - the largest such society in the nation - would have its headquarters in this lush, well-kept community.

Falcon Heights has a population of about 5,000, but that figure swells to nearly 2 million every year during "The Great Minnesota Get-Together" - the State Fair.graphic

Major employers include Hewlett-Packard, Hermes Floral, Roseville Area Schools, and the University of Minnesota, which has its Colleges of Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Natural Resources, and Veterinary Medicine here.

The University presence enhances the quality of life in Falcon Heights, as do the many recreation facilities. Community Park features tennis and basketball courts, softball and soccer fields, an ice rink, and a prairie with walking trails. Softball, basketball, and ice skating also are offered at Curtis Field and Grove Park.

Conveniently located only 5 minutes from both Minneapolis and St. Paul, Falcon Heights offers the friendly atmosphere of a small-town community, with big-city amenities only minutes away.
