North St. Paul

graphicWhen North Saint Paul was founded in 1870, the goal was to create a community that combined the best of both worlds - a vigorous climate for business and industry, paired with quiet, livable residential areas. That dream has served the city well for over a century.

Today, North Saint Paul retains a strong business base while providing residents with the peaceful, tree-lined neighborhoods. What’s more, North Saint Paul is one of the few Twin Cities suburbs with a distinct downtown identity.

A flourishing business district in the center of the city includes supermarkets, hardware and drug stores, a medical center, newspaper office, library, bank, furniture store, specialty shops, and more. In addition to this well-developed sector, a busy mall further enhances retail and service establishments.graphic

The city stretches along the south and west sides of scenic Silver Lake, which has always been a gathering spot for community activity. Annual events include Crazy Days in June and Heritage Days in September. Residents also enjoy 13 city parks and a new community center.

Located just 10 miles northeast of downtown Saint Paul, this city prides itself on offering a balanced atmosphere for work and play, combining the advantages of a large metro area with all the amenities of small-town living.
