Welcome

After 100 years of service, the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce is better than ever and looking forward to the future. We are excited to bring you this Commemorative Centennial book as a celebration of Winona and our thriving business community.

In 1912, a group of local businessmen had the foresight to come together for the good of the Winona area when they started the Association of Commerce, which is known today as the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce. We have a lot to show for our 100 years as a business organization and we pride ourselves on our ability to take ideas and turn them into reality. Throughout this Commemorative book you will experience the many ways that the Chamber has assisted in the development of business, supported education and helped to facilitate the growth of tourism and the community as a whole.

Welcome

Over the decades, the Winona Area Chamber has played a key role in moving Winona forward. Utilizing hundreds of volunteer business leaders, the Chamber Board of Directors and experienced full-time Chamber staff have been the force that has identified opportunities to address community needs and developed solutions with measurable outcomes. We have a reputation for successfully implementing strategies to make Winona a better place to live, play and build a career or a business.

As an advocate for business, we have been influential in forming collaborations with local and state governments in addition to private businesses and area organizations, delivering results on many initiatives that have and will continue to have a positive impact on the ever-changing Winona community.

This Commemorative book is a tribute to the people of Winona, including business, government and civic leaders who have developed a relationship of trust with our local Chamber. Together we will continue the progress of the past and focus on the future. The effort that began in 1912 continues on in 2012 and we are looking forward to the next 100 years and beyond.
