Keep Corinth Beautiful

Keep Corinth Beautiful (KCB) is a division of The Alliance. KCB was formed in 1999 to address public concerns of litter in Corinth and Alcorn County. Keep Corinth Beautiful is governed by a board of dedicated volunteers representing local government, industry, business, and the private sector. KCB is one of 22 statewide affiliates that represent Keep Mississippi Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.

Beautification and Litter Prevention Keep Corinth Beautiful’s main goals are community education regarding litter prevention, community awareness programs relating to beautification, and reduction of solid waste through recycling. Keep Corinth Beautiful was responsible for the construction of four Welcome to Corinth Gateway Entrances, the acquisition of a wood chipper for the City of Corinth Street Department, providing community beautification grants to civic organizations, and the publishing of a comprehensive Recycling Directory. KCB also promotes the Avenue of Magnolias and coordinates Kids Against Trash (KAT) and Pick Up the Tab, which recycles soda can tabs to benefit Alcorn County families staying at The Ronald McDonald House. Keep Corinth Beautiful also provides free litter bags to the community through “Bag-up Corinth,” educational programs for all ages to area schools, and coordinates an annual Great American Cleanup through their partnership with Keep America Beautiful.
