Faust Park, located just one mile north of Highway 64/Olive intersection, is one of St. Louis County’s most unique and interesting sites. Spanning approximately 200 acres, this county park is home to the 8,000-square-foot Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and Education Center, where more than 1,000 tropical butterflies are on display in a natural environment.

In addition, Faust Park Historical Village provides visitors the opportunity to see and visit a community of 19th century structures that have been preserved to represent the building and architectural changes spanning from 1840 to 1888.

While in the park, be sure to take a ride on the antique carousel featuring more than 60 hand-carved horses, deer and chariots, and see “Thornhill,” the historic mansion that was once home to Missouri’s second governor, Frederick Bates. On certain evenings and weekends, the park is host to a number of festivals and celebrations, including the ever-popular Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert series.

Further sites to be seen while in the Chesterfield area include the Old House in Hog Hollow, the Kemp Auto Museum and the esteemed Spirit of St. Louis Airport.
