Senior Living

County Older Residents Program (CORP) is available to area “seniors.” Established in 1975, CORP provides practical information and assistance for residents 60 years of age and better.

CORP’s Good Neighbor Services cover such aspects as home visits, shopping services, telephone reassurance, transportation services, handyman help/home repairs, home chores, referral services for social security and taxes, bus schedules, legal issues, crime prevention, and much more. Crestwood’s Department of Public Services sponsors many ongoing activities and programs for seniors, as well.

As our population ages, facilities offering everything from independent retirement living to full skilled nursing care and rehabilitative services can be found in the community. Opened in mid-2008, Crestview Senior Living is a premier senior living community located at Watson and Grant Roads in Crestwood. A variety of unit types are available, including studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments. The long list of amenities is impressive, and includes 24-hour call alert service and 24-hour staffing; social, educational and cultural programming; scheduled transportation for community-sponsored trips, activities, events, shopping, and medical appointments; a sky lounge, bistro, physical therapy center, elegant dining room, library, theater, and more. The serene neighborhood is nestled among parks, restaurants, retail centers, places of worship, and major medical facilities including St. Anthony’s Medical Center and Misssouri Baptist Medical Center’s Sunset Hills facility.

Additional full service, continuum of care facilities include Orchid Terrace Gracious Retirement and Laclede Groves Senior Living. The 84-acre Grant’s Farm Manor is under construction and will offer area “seniors” many amenities. Phase One will include a clubhouse and a 99-unit residential facility with two-level underground parking available.
