Poplar Bluff has been built on an incredible history, and there are many ways to experience both its history and its future.

Located in the historic downtown area along the banks of the Black River, the state-of-the-art Black River Coliseum is a spectacular venue for concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, conventions and more.

With a seating capacity of 5,000 and a convenient central location, events draw diverse crowds from throughout the area.

The town’s fascinating history is preserved in many museums in its historic district.

The Poplar Bluff Historical Museum maintains records of the town and county’s history and displays authentic items from public schools, the Poplar Bluff Sports Hall of Fame, the U.S. Forest Service and more.

Poplar Bluff was transformed by the passing of the railroad, and this important chapter of the past is recorded at the Moark Regional Railroad Museum. See history unfold through photographs, and take a countryside journey in the Museum’s model train room.

Poplar Bluff has opportunities for fast-paced fun, too, whether it’s fun in the sun or the need for speed. Poplar Bluff Speedway opened in March of 2004 and since then has been awing racing fans of all ages. Featuring several classes of cars, the action is always fresh and exciting.

Bluff Falls Water Park & Entertainment Center is the perfect place to go to beat the heat and swim or relax. Featuring a wave pool, three 45-foot slides, slow river float, splash pool, go karts, batting cages, championship miniature golf, indoor arcade and indoor and outdoor concessions, the whole family can find a great way to unwind.

R Bar H Arena/Expo is a new indoor exposition facility made especially for equestrian events, including horseshows and rodeos. Offering daily practice times, 115 stalls and programs for children and adults, it’s a great place to watch and participate.
