The thriving South St. Louis County region represents the interests of nearly 110,000 residents and numerous business operations. This 44-square-mile area, located just south of the bustling city of St. Louis, is home to the communities of Oakville, Mehlville and Concord. Of the three cities, Oakville is the largest with a population exceeding 55,000 residents. Mehlville is the second-largest city with just over 28,000 residents, while Concord is home to approximately 17,000 people. These communities each have strong economic and social ties to the Gateway City, while also exhibiting individual characteristics that are respective to each independent heritage.

The prime location of South County places it within 10 minutes of one of the nation’s top metropolitan areas and its network of major highways, railroad lines and public transit options via the MetroLink and MetroBus systems. Commuters, commercial traffic and tourists utilize multi-lane highways such as interstates 44, 55 and 270, along with several local thoroughfares and county highways that provide efficient travel to destinations in and around the area.

In addition to an ideal Midwestern locality, access to prime recreational and cultural venues, shopping centers and strong investments in the value of schools and health care facilities have made the South County region quite appealing to residents and visitors from all walks of life. A diverse housing market and a wide range of business ventures only add to the advantages to living and doing business here.
