Mosaic Life Care is a physician-led health-care system serving 35 counties in northwest Missouri, northeast Kansas, southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. The organization serves a population of approximately 350,000 and is the largest employer in the region with more than 4,200 employees.

Along with the main medical center based in St. Joseph, other Missouri hospitals in the Mosaic system include Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville in Maryville, Mosaic Medical Center – Albany in Albany and the Long-Term Acute Care Hospital in St. Joseph.

Northwest Health Services

Northwest Health Services provides primary medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services for St. Joseph and surrounding communities spread over 15 counties. Its health centers are local, nonprofit, community-owned health care providers.

Northwest Health Services clinics are federally qualified community health centers and improve access to care for Americans regardless of their insurance status. Northwest Health is inspired by the belief that all people, regardless of insurance status, should have access to high-quality health care.

Northwest Health clinics can be found all across Northwest Missouri and St. Joseph at the North End Health Center, North End Family Pharmacy, Family Medicine Associates, Family Medicine Pharmacy, South Side Health Center, Northwest Family Dental, Northwest Behavioral Health and the Downtown Health Center providing access to care of the homeless population.

Additionally. Northwest Health offers a sliding scale program (discount program) for individuals who qualify, to take every avenue possible to keep health care affordable. The addition of certified application counselors has also helped individuals find affordable options for health insurance.

Northwest Health continually focuses on innovating and improving quality. Recently the addition of pharmacy care in St. Joseph complements Northwest Health’s goal of improving access to care. They also received the highest quality award for Health Centers from the Missouri Primary Care Association.
