The City of Trenton is served by the Trenton R-IX School District. The District is comprised of a preschool, Rissler Elementary School (K-4), Trenton Middle School (5-8), and Trenton High School (9-12). Students and parents alike will be pleased with the vast opportunities provided by the district. Romper Room Preschool & Childcare provides an interactive learning environment for many area children. Green Hills Head Start is a federally-funded preschool program for children. The program focuses on preparing children for success in school while helping their caregiver’s access to resources for the betterment of their families. Green Hills Head Start helps children acquire necessary medical and dental care, and provides access to needed nutrition through healthy meals and snacks. Trenton and its surrounding communities have the additional benefit of being served by North Central Missouri College (NCMC). Transfer and career programs, individual courses for personal or professional growth, short courses, seminars, adult education and literacy, GED preparation, Tech Prep and Upward Bound are among the many programs offered for the enrichment of students at NCMC. Working to provide ever increasing educational opportunities for the community, NCMC is actively raising money through their “Invest in the Vision” campaign. The overall goal of this campaign is to raise a minimum of ten million dollars for campus improvements ranging from a new classroom building to scholarship support.
