Welcome to Fremont, Nebraska. This is a place where visionaries and explorers have convened since the middle of the 19th century when our country was making its westward expansion along the great trails and railroads. Today, Fremont continues to build on those foundations with new generations of hardworking and intellectually curious pathfinders.
As the Chamber’s executive director, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of people who are uncommonly committed to making Fremont a better place to work and live. Universally, I see a community of friendly, generous people who welcome newcomers.
At the Chamber, we feel an obligation to serve as both a convener and as a catalyst that enables the community to achieve its goals. We’re fortunate to have more than 600 members and more than 1,100 active individuals who recognize the value of personal community involvement. We hope to enlist more in this important effort; great things happen when citizens are connected and take personal responsibility.
Though there is never a shortage of work to be done, the Chamber focuses on issues that support the free enterprise system, that improve our quality of life and that sustain values and traditions unique to Fremont. Our Chamber is a partner with other like-minded Fremont organizations to achieve our shared goals.
Long-time residents and newcomers offer differing yet equally valuable bases of experience from which to draw, so today, more than ever, the Chamber serves the community as a vehicle of change.
If you’re visiting the area we hope you enjoy your stay and that you’ll return again. If you’re considering a move let me be among the first to offer an enthusiastic WELCOME HOME!
