The Morrison Cancer Center provides comprehensive cancer care through advanced medical and radiation oncology services. Equipped with advanced technology, the Morrison Cancer Center is one of the most progressive cancer treatment centers in the region and is conveniently located on the campus of Mary Lanning Healthcare. The skilled and experienced team of providers offers central Nebraska and northern Kansas compassionate care in a warm, inviting environment. Here, patient- and family-friendly conveniences are complimented by some of the latest technologies and experienced professionals in the areas of medical and radiation oncology. The Morrison Cancer Center offers both medical oncology and radiation therapy, allowing patients to receive all the services needed by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to their care. Patients receive personal care combined with a plan that meets their unique cancer diagnosis and the treatment. Patients learn what to expect during their treatment, common side effects and have access to a wide array of support resources.

MCC offers a variety of research studies on promising new therapies for patients who wish to consider this option. If a specific clinical trial is not available at the Morrison Cancer Center, we make every effort to find appropriate trials at other cancer centers. The Hastings Surgical Center specializes in surgical procedures where patients receive surgical care and return home without an overnight stay. A variety of surgical procedures are performed at the center. State and federal regulations require ambulatory surgery centers to be held to the same quality and safety as hospitals, so the Hastings Surgical Center provides quality medical care and uses the latest techniques for a safe and convenient environment.

The reimbursement methods are usually significantly less than any patient would experience in a hospital setting, resulting in cost savings for the patients on their out-of-pocket expenses. The professional staff of the center is committed to individualized care for each one of their patients. The family-centered, patient-focused approach results in a high degree of patient satisfaction.

The center is a multi-specialty center. Specialties include gastroenterology, general surgery, retina, gynecology, maxillofacial and oral surgery, podiatry, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management, pediatric dental surgery and urology.

Good Samaritan Society – Hastings Village

Good Samaritan Society – Hastings Village is the home of Perkins Pavilion. Skilled nursing care and short-term rehabilitation are two services provided within Perkins.

The Center for Short-Term Rehabilitation provides 25 private rooms, a common dining room and hospital grade equipment in the Rehabilitation room. Infinity Rehabilitation staff create personalized plans to help each patient return to their home or care facility, as soon as able. Therapies available include physical, speech and occupational. Patients leaving the program may also choose to utilize the Good Samaritan Society – Home Health or the out-patient therapy program offered by Perkins Pavilion, to ensure continual good health after their stay. The staff provides excellent care to all patients, ensuring an environment where they will feel loved, valued and at peace.

Residents needing a higher level of care will find Perkins Pavilion skilled nursing to be an excellent place with compassionate staff and personal care. Their 175 beds are certified for Medicare, Medicaid and private pay.

Patient care plans are created by their physician. Care plans may include treatments, medications, dietary, therapy, home visitation and home health. Residents may also be under the guidance of hospice care during their residency at Perkins.

In addition to medical care, residents are provided spiritual, recreational and social opportunities. Residents find enjoyment with communal meals in our dining rooms, playing Bingo, making crafts and worshipping together. The warm environment in each wing provides a common living room for puzzles, visiting with guests and watching TV.
