• BIG APPLE FUN CENTER

This is the place to be for local year-round family fun. The Big Apple Fun Center is a one-stop place for bowling, billiards and darts, arcade games, miniature golf, sand volleyball, go-karts, parties and much more. Join in on a league or a tournament, or just come for a leisurely day of entertainment.

• KEARNEY COMMUNITY THEATRE

Part of the Kearney community for more than 40 years, Kearney Community Theatre offers an excellent schedule of live theatrical performances every year, along with a number of special events. Additionally, the theatre is home to the Academy of Children’s Theatre.

• VIAERO EVENT CENTER

Situated along the southern side of Interstate 80 (at the Kearney exit), the Viaero Event Center plays host to a number of events throughout the calendar year. With 5,000 seats and more than 54,000 square feet of prime exhibit space, the facility is an ideal location for a variety of entertainment functions and meetings. Thousands of people have utilized the center’s array of offerings, including everything from concerts, conventions and meetings to public skating, private parties and a wealth of ice and basketball activities. The Viaero Event Center is home to the Tri-City Storm (USHL).

• KEARNEY RACEWAY PARK

Enjoy a full schedule of drag racing each April through October at Kearney Raceway Park, located along Highway 30.

• MINDEN OPERA HOUSE

While the structure was built back in 1891, it experienced a great renovation in 1999-2000. Today, the Minden Opera House stands as an exceptional community center for theatrical productions and special events, and even houses an art gallery featuring local, regional and national artists, as well as a charming gift shop.

• ROBERT M. MERRYMAN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

This 800-seat community arts center offers the finest in dance, musical and theatrical performances throughout the year. Additionally, the center offers a wealth of educational events and workshops for area K-12 students through its Imagination Advantage Series.

• UNK THEATRE

Four main stage productions, plus a multitude of student-directed compositions are offered through the UNK Theatre Program’s students, faculty and staff. The University’s Theatre Program is housed within the Fine Arts Building on campus, which features the 334-seat Miriam Drake Theatre and the intimate Studio Theatre that has the capability to accommodate up to 120 guests.
