Leadership Nebraska

The State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska is aimed at professionals who have demonstrated community and leadership experience. It was designed specifically to help these existing and emerging leaders gain more in-depth knowledge about the issues facing Nebraska’s economy, employers and communities.

The year-long program consists of six sessions held across the state. Each session covers key topics in economic development, agriculture, education, health care, and government and policy. Each session also features speakers who are recognized leaders in their specific fields; discussion and debate on current issues; tours to provide first-hand experience; and an opportunity to experience the diversity of Nebraska.

The program is open to all adult residents of the state. Leadership Nebraska selects 25 to 30 participants each year with an emphasis on creating a diverse group geographically, as well as occupationally.

Currently, there are more than 150 Leadership Nebraska alumni across the state – an impressive statewide network that benefits participants long after graduation from the program.

The State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska receives support from the Leadership Nebraska fund, which is affiliated with the Nebraska Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Oversight for the program is provided by a volunteer advisory council.
