The South Shore is alive with art and culture through the diversity of artists, events and businesses that define our unique mountain culture throughout the South Shore. The mix is eclectic and ranges from art galleries to quaint artist studios, cultural heritage sites to children’s programs, musicals to theatrical plays, poetry readings to book signings, cinematography to performing arts, and mountain art festivals to truly special local events.

Haldan Art Gallery
Located at the Lake Tahoe Community College, the Haldan Art Gallery features rotating exhibitions of both historical and contemporary artists.

Lake Tahoe Community College
The Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It offers a wide array of art and cultural classes including art design, drawing, photography, painting, visual and performing arts, theater and a comprehensive culinary arts program.


Tahoe Art League (TAL)
Since 1964, the Tahoe Art League has been dedicated to promoting fine art and art education in the South Shore via free monthly art demonstrations, workshops, classes, summer outdoor shows, fine art exhibits and scholarships. The TAL Art Center is a working gallery featuring workshops and fine art for sale and is located in the center of town by the Visitor Center.

Tahoe Arts Project (TAP)
For 20 years, TAP has been dedicated to providing cultural enrichment and diversity for the community and, specifically, for youth through the arts and education. Throughout the year, TAP sponsors cultural performing arts in the schools that give children a chance to experience live quality performing arts.

Tahoe Arts & Mountain Culture
The Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture (TAMC) website showcases the local artists, individuals, businesses and events that embody Tahoe’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit. A “Made in Tahoe” section features locally made products, original art and a resident artists, funky “don’t miss” events calendar.
