Downtown Lebanon

Shopping is not a problem in the Upper Valley. Lebanon alone has 10 plazas, one indoor mall, one pedestrian mall and six major grocery stores. Several nationwide chains of department stores anchor each plaza

Many local businesses still thrive among their national competitors, and the combination of variety, customer service and no sales tax makes Lebanon the primary destination for the region’s shoppers.

Dining options are plentiful in Lebanon, as well. Diners can choose from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. From Mexican food at Gusanoz Mexican Restaurant to rustic Italian at Three Tomatoes Trattoria, and from Irish-American comfort food at Salt Hill Pub to sushi and Korean food at Yama Restaurant, everyone is sure to find something to satisfy their taste buds.

Every Thursday from June to September, Colburn Park in downtown Lebanon hosts an outdoor farmers’ market, where you can enjoy wonderful selections of locally grown fresh produce, plants, prepared foods, baked goods and beautiful crafts.

Every Saturday from spring through autumn, Norwich, Vermont, hosts an outdoor farmers’ market, where antique dealers, farmers and local craftspeople bring their goods to sell. Fresh vegetables, children’s clothing, restoration furniture, ceramics and artwork are just a small sample of the special and unique items available for purchase.

Similar markets are common throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
