Opportunities to receive choice education in the Atlantic City region are abundant, with area facilities offering everything from fundamental daycare and preschool classes up through graduate and doctoral degrees.

A number of childcare facilities operate throughout Atlantic City and its surrounding communities, with many offering connections with local preschool and elementary schools.

Both public and private K-12 facilities can be accessed here. A wealth of public schools are spread throughout Atlantic County, including a dozen serving students of Atlantic City.

Alternatives to the public school system are also prevalent, with a handful of private parochial institutions and charter schools readily available. For those students in need of special educational services, there are plenty of options in the greater Atlantic City area.

The Atlantic County Institute of Technology (ACIT), located in Mays Landing, is one of the top comprehensive technical educational facilities in the area. ACIT offers high school students a chance to enroll in its full-time Academy and shared-time programs. ACIT also offers technical and self-improvement classes for adults through its Evening School program.

Upon graduation of high school, the majority of Atlantic City students choose to continue the educational path to college. Atlantic Cape Community College offers students the opportunity for an affordable, quality education close to home. This two-year public college offers a main campus in Mays Landing, with branch campuses in Atlantic City and Cape May Court House. Thousands of students each year take advantage of Atlantic Cape’s offerings, which includes more than 40 transfer and career degree programs.

Students interested in pursuing higher education have convenient access to The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, an award-winning institution situated on a beautiful 2,000-acre campus in Pomona. This selective college is one of the top 10 public master’s colleges/universities in the northeast, offering a variety of both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as an exceptional array of athletics and student activities.

There are other options for higher education through a number of extension campuses located in and around Atlantic City, plus a score of additional colleges and universities located throughout New Jersey.
