Convention & Visitors Bureau

Central New Jersey is everything you want when you need sleeping rooms, if you’re visiting or coming to see a Rutgers football game, or if you need event space for your next association meeting, corporate training seminar or trade show. There are also a growing number of IACC compliant conference spaces, some of the largest ballrooms available in the entire state and two convention centers with exhibit space able to handle trade shows of up to 650 booths.

The CNJ Convention and Visitors Bureau has been serving Central New Jersey for two years and watched as New Brunswick welcomed its newest hospitality venue: The Heldrich. Located directly across the street, The Heldrich is the State Theater and George Street Playhouse. Also, the New Brunswick Hyatt completed an exemplary renovation to complement its well-known exemplary service and is only a short walk from the New Brunswick train station.

In neighboring East Brunswick, the Hilton Hotel and Towers finished a 16,000-square-foot IACC compliant conference center in November 2008. Not far from East Brunswick in Edison the Clarion will have changed flags and will have renovations done emerging as a Crowne Plaza that is located across the street from the beautiful Pines Manor banquet facility. Also, the Edison Sheraton has a top to bottom renovation that was scheduled for completion in December 2008, and is smartly located in the Raritan Center home to the NJ Convention and Exposition Center with a total of 155,000 square feet of exhibit and conference space. In 2007, the NJ Convention Center began to manage the Garden State Exhibit Center, a 70,000-square-foot facility in Somerset that adjoins the DoubleTree Hotel, which opened a new 20,000-square-foot IACC compliant conference center in September 2008.
