Welcome to the Greater Toms River Community

#wearetr

The Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce invites you to discover the community and all of our splendors.

If you are a resident or visitor, a business owner or are considering relocating or building your business, the greater Toms River area has much to offer.

Nestled 70 miles south of New York City, 50 miles east of Philadelphia and 25 miles north of Atlantic City, Ocean County, home to our chamber’s footprint, is one of the fastest growing counties in the state of New Jersey and boasts 45 miles of the best sandy beaches and ocean on the East Coast.

Enjoy our boardwalks, amusement piers, deep-sea fishing, aquariums and water parks while you are in our beachfront towns like Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, Long Beach Island, Point Pleasant Beach, Ortley Beach or Lavallette.

Head out to a game at the Lakewood BlueClaws stadium - our minor league baseball team affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies. Spend an evening at a show at the The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts, located at Ocean County College. Shop at the Ocean County Mall or the Downtown Shops at 53 Main in downtown Toms River. While you are downtown, enjoy lunch on The River Lady or learn something new at The Ocean County Library.

Toms River is also home to Community Medical Center, a fully accredited acute care hospital that offers a comprehensive array of services, and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, which is designed to return patients to independent lives through comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

We are also proud to be the home of the Toms River Regional School System, a comprehensive regional public school district that is the largest suburban school district in the state, and the fourth largest school district in New Jersey; Ocean County Vocational Technical School, providing technical and vocational education to residents of Ocean County via a number of full-time public high school and adult programs; and Ocean County College, a public two-year community college sponsored by Ocean County and the State of New Jersey, providing area residents with the opportunity to benefit from higher education.

We encourage you to stay local - shop local, live local, work local, and be local - and to explore the many wonderful attractions and benefits the greater Toms River area has to offer.
