Welcome Messages

One hundred and fifty years ago, a man by the name of Charles K. Landis had the vision and determination to create “an ideal town.” His ideal was to have a town where people could work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor. He envisioned a one square mile city surrounded by farms, orchards and vineyards, and thus named the city Vineland. It would be a city open to immigrants from all over the world with the freedom to practice the religion of their choice. It would be a community of opportunity.

Vineland has held true to the ideals on which it was founded. Today we are still a community that celebrates its cultural diversity with festivals, restaurants and a new public market offering many different ethnic cuisines. We have a multitude of churches representing religions from all walks of life. To this day, we are still an agricultural community that is home to the premier produce auction in the Eastern U.S. We offer industrial parks located on a four-lane highway that are within three hours of major markets. We are home to many entrepreneurs and professionals that have successful businesses.

We have progressed quite a bit since Charles K. Landis first drove a stake into the ground in the center of town; however, we have never lost sight of who we are as a community of opportunity.

Vineland welcomes you!
MAYOR ROBERT ROMANO

From the Chamber President

I want to thank our members for the success we have experienced over the years. It has always been predicated on having a strong and active membership for which we are grateful. The Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce is committed to its mission and beliefs, which is essential for our success. Our vision continues to focus on being the preeminent leader and voice for the business community. We take great pride in being a catalyst for change and economic development within our community, continually seeking opportunities to bring value to our members.

As we celebrate our 93rd year serving business, we remain vigilant in our advocacy on behalf of our members. Each month our legislative committee reviews potential legislation that may adversely affect businesses and professions in the Greater Vineland area. This committee is proactive in seeking legislation that provides and fosters economic opportunities to our members and formally opposes legislation that does not meet the criteria. Our marketing committee meets regularly to develop new and innovative ways to help our members reach their client and customer base. Networking opportunities are provided through luncheons, as well as after-hour business socials, enabling the members an opportunity to build long lasting business relationships. Our programs committee seeks out timely topics to enhance your ability to make informed decisions.

I encourage you, if you have not already done so, to engage with our Chamber to become an integral part of the future.

Very truly yours,
WAYNE H. TRIANTOS
President
