Located in southeastern New Mexico, Roswell is a city full of mystery and wonder. Much more than just the site of one very famous intergalactic event, Roswell boasts fantastic recreational areas like the Bottomless Lakes and unique attractions like the Roswell Museum and Art Center.

Named twice an All-America City by the National Civic League, Roswell is a charming community with great weather. Its industries range from agriculture to aviation. It is also home to one of the largest mozzarella cheese factories in the world.

Location and Transportation

Serving as the hub of Southeastern New Mexico, Roswell lies at the intersection of US 70, 380, and 285 with about 200 miles to major nearby cities, such as Albuquerque, El Paso and Lubbock, Texas.

Roswell is also the home of the Roswell Industrial Air Center, with regional air service provided by Mesa Airlines. The RIAC was originally developed for military aviation, but now houses several businesses and the Roswell Municipal Airport.
