Three interstate highways intersect the state – Interstate 40 (east-west), Interstate 10 (east-west), and Interstate 25 (north-south). Amtrack offers on-time rail passenger service from Lamy (20 minutes south of the city of Santa Fe). The Rail Runner began commuter rail service from Albuquerque to Santa Fe in December 2008. Albuquerque International Airport (one hour south of Santa Fe via Interstate 25) is served by 11 major carriers and offers non-stop service to 28 cities. American Eagle Airlines offers flights to Dallas and Los Angeles and United Express to Denver from Santa Fe Airport.
