Healthcare

All healthcare needs can be found right here in Ken-Ton and the surrounding area. From senior care, dentists, pharmacies, a world-class hospital and more; one can find a practice to help with any of their needs. Our premier facilities include the Roswell Park Cancer institute, Women and Children’s Hospital and the Dent Neurological Institute.

Kenmore Mercy Hospital is the primary healthcare provider in the Ken-Ton area. Founded in 1951, the hospital boasts a number of services, including distinguished specialty services: orthopedics, medical rehabilitation and stroke care. Orthopedic care includes total and partial knee and hip replacement, among other musculoskeletal surgeries. In 2011, Kenmore Mercy became the first hospital in the Buffalo area to receive Total Knee & Total Hip Replacement Certification from The Joint Commission, the nation’s most trusted healthcare regulatory body. It was also rated No. 2 in New York State for Joint Replacement by HealthGrades in 2013. The Medical Rehabilitation Unit offers treatment to patients who may be recovering from hip fractures, strokes or complications from other neurological impairments. In 2008, 2009 and 2011, the MRU was ranked in the top 10 percent of more than 800 rehabilitation facilities by Uniform Data Systems, which tracks medical rehabilitation outcomes across the world. As a designated Stroke Center, patients here receive access to immediate care from a clinically experienced staff and equipment that effectively diagnose and treat stroke patients. In 2001, The Joint Commission awarded Kenmore Mercy certification for its advanced Primary Stroke Center. Additionally, the facility recently broke ground to welcome a brand new, state-of-the-art emergency room.
