Countywide Care

Medical centers, clinics, nursing homes and an array of medical and dental professionals are widely available throughout Fuquay-Varina and Wake County to serve the health and wellness needs of local residents. Residents also benefit from close proximity to several state-of-the-art medical facilities.

WakeMed is a 752-bed private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Raleigh. The system is committed to providing access to quality, hospital-based care to all citizens of Wake County. WakeMed operates a number of facilities throughout the county, including the WakeMed Fuquay-Varina Outpatient and Skilled Nursing Facility.

Formerly known as Raleigh Community Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital provides the community with 186-beds, and has 500 physicians on its medical staff. As part of the Duke University Health System, the hospital operates a number of specialized centers and clinics in addition to providing surgical services and emergency care. Duke Health Raleigh Hospital also cares for the community by offering health and wellness programs — including support programs, rehabilitation programs and a variety of classes.

A broad range of services are offered at Wake County Southern Regional Center — including health, clinical, mental health, social and environmental health services. Recently, the center expanded health services for women, including prenatal care. Services include physicals, lab tests, and nutritional and health counseling services.

Senior care is also provided at the 17-acre campus of Windsor Point in Fuquay-Varina. Personal care/assisted care units and 100 immediate and skilled care beds (in addition to other retirement options) are available.
