graphicWayne Hospital, a private, not-for-profit community hospital, is located in Greenville. It is licensed for 92 beds including a 10-bed birthing unit with 12 bassinets, and an intensive care unit. The emergency department has 24-hour coverage. The hospital also operates an Outpatient Rehabilitation Center which provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology services.

The medical staff is comprised of over 30 active physicians plus associate physicians and emergency room physicians. graphicWestern Ohio Therapy Association is a rehabilitation agency that offers physical, occupational, speech and social rehabilitation services. Services include physical, occupational and speech therapy, work conditioning, athletic training and functional capacity evaluations.

Western Ohio Therapy provides therapy to its patients in ten private treatment rooms and offers a modern gym/fitness area and aquatic therapy in its indoor SwimEx pool. They are located in Greenville.

Family Health Medical Center is a family oriented medical center providing primary health care to adults and children. The staff includes family physicians, pediatrician, OB/GYN physician, nurses, pharmacist and lab technician.

The Darke County Mental Health Clinic was formed by local citizens in 1980 to be the local recipient of tax monies earmarked for mental health in Darke County. The mental health clinic offers a wide range of psychological services including outpatient counseling, marriage counseling, play therapy for children, access to an inpatient unit, educational groups, workshops and personal growth groups.

Darke County Recovery Services offers substance abuse counseling. Among the services provided are group, individual and family therapy, co-dependency counseling, prevention and educational consultation services. There is an intensive outpatient program for those who are having trouble with transition from active alcoholism or drugs dependency to sober, responsible living.

Senior assisted living facilities are provided in Darke County at The Brethren’s Home, Heartland of Greenville, Rest Haven Nursing Home, Gade Nursing Home, Oakley House, Alterra Sterling House of Greenville, and Center of Hope.

Agencies providing health care related services include the Cancer Association of Darke County, Hospice of Darke County, Darke County United Way, and the American Red Cross.

Home health care services are provided in Darke County by Comprehensive Health Network.
