A Letter from the Chamber
The Napoleon/Henry County Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to our home — Napoleon and Henry County.
This book is designed to give you an inside look at the resources and people of our area. Our communities are proud of the work they have done for generations to build their towns. The work began in the 1800s as our earliest families struggled to clear what has become known as the “Great Black Swamp.” It was incredibly hard work to clear the land and then drain it — but that hard work and dedication paid off with some of the richest and most productive land in the United States.
Agriculture remains a strong backbone for the county, but resourceful entrepreneurs have taken that early success and built stronger diversified foundations in many other areas.
Technological advances today are presenting incredible new opportunities for people looking to live a life surrounded by quality. It is now possible to live in a community that truly cares about you — while working in fields that were available in larger cities in the past. Henry County offers “quality of life” and “quality of opportunity.”
Work hard and relax easy right here in Henry County.
Take a look at what we have to offer. Stop and stay awhile. We’d love to have you.
