St. Rita’s Health Partners

St. Rita’s Health Partners has been recognized as a Community Value Five-Star® hospital by Cleverley + Associates, a privately owned healthcare consulting firm located in Worthington, Ohio, focused on financial strength services.

This ranking was based on the firm’s thirteenth annual Community Value Index® (CVI) score, which measures the value a hospital has to its community.

“We are honored to have received this award,” Bob Baxter, President and CEO of St. Rita’s Health Partners, said. “Part of our mission is improving the health of our communities with emphasis on people who are poor and underserved. We feel that this award truly is a reflection of this commitment.”

The CVI score assesses a hospital’s performance in four different areas: financial viability and plant reinvestment, cost structure, charge structure and quality performance. These four areas suggest that a hospital should be operating with a high standard of community value, by providing a low cost and low charge, reinvesting back into their facility, while also providing quality care to their patients.

CVI scores are determined by combining the scores in each area. Hospitals that score in the top 20 percent are recognized as Community Value Five-Star® facilities. St. Rita’s is proud to have received these scores and this distinction.

Lima Memorial Health System

Lima Memorial Health System is dedicated to advancing health care in our region through the ongoing introduction of new programs, technology and services, coupled with an exceptional patient and family experience.

Lima Memorial introduced a surgical robotics program to our region just a few short years ago. The program has since garnered national attention for being selected as a designated da Vinci® Robotic Mentor site for hernia repair. Now, surgeons from across the country travel to Lima Memorial to learn from the best.

The robotics program has continued to progress, creating the need for expansion of our surgical department. Two dedicated robotic rooms were added. The expansion also included the addition of a new hybrid operating room. This sophisticated operating room is equipped with a highly technical lab and imaging technology. The state-of-the-art surgical suite will allow a variety of different specialists to work together at one time, performing minimally invasive procedures. Patients will benefit from a lower risk of complications, a greater likelihood of a fast recovery and quicker return to normal life. In addition a newly designed, patient-centric post anesthesia care unit is scheduled to open Spring 2017.

New cardiology advancements will keep patients close to home for innovative care. With the new CardioMEMS, Lima Memorial can actively monitor heart failure patients and make medication changes before symptoms present. This heart failure monitoring device has been proven to significantly reduce hospital admissions when used to manage heart failure.

The Lima Memorial Medical Park opened its doors to a newly renovated Cancer Institute. This $6 million investment included the addition of state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat patients. Further, Lima Memorial brought innovative lung cancer diagnostic capabilities to our region, technology that can now diagnose lung cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.

In 2017, LMHS will be breaking ground for a new building expansion. The project will include a new professional office building that will accommodate the ever-growing number of specialty physicians who have joined our medical team to bring advanced health care to our region. Space has also been designated for a full-service outpatient pharmacy and the future development of a chronic disease management center.

Lima Memorial is proud to deliver innovative care to our region, coupled with an outstanding patient and family experience.

Blanchard Valley Health System

Blanchard Valley Health System is a non-profit, integrated regional health system based in Findlay. BVHS is one of the largest employers in the area with more than 2,700 associates and serves an eight-county area that includes Hancock, Allen, Putnam, Henry, Wood, Seneca, Wyandot and Hardin Counties.

Blanchard Valley Hospital was recently named one of America’s 100 Top Hospitals® for the fourth time by Truven Health Analytics™. Very few hospitals across the nation have claimed this honor four times.

This award is one of the most coveted in the health care industry. To be chosen out of nearly 3,000 facilities as one of the 100 Top Hospitals means BVH was identified as one of the best hospitals in the nation. The data suggests the patient receives safer, more effective care, with shorter lengths of stay and less likelihood of readmission, all for a generally lower cost and a higher level of patient satisfaction.

The other BVHS hospital is Bluffton Hospital, a licensed, 25-bed short-term acute care facility providing a full range of services including inpatient medical care, 24-hour emergency care, outpatient surgery, cosmetic services and diagnostic services. The facility also features Level I obstetrics unit and several physician specialty clinics.

Bluffton Hospital offers greater technological resources to their patients than many small hospitals, but still provides the comfort and convenience of a “hometown” facility staffed by compassionate, competent health care professionals who are also neighbors and friends.

In the fall of 2017, The Women’s Center of Bluffton Hospital will officially welcome patients. The new complex will offer gynecological surgery including robotics, a Pelvic Pain Center and a Medical Spa. The plan also includes expansion of existing services in obstetrics and ancillary testing. Already encompassing a welcoming environment, Bluffton Hospital is poised to become a center of excellence that features measurably elite diagnosis and treatment of women’s health issues.
