The Lake White Club is one of the area’s oldest restaurants with timbers dating back to the original log cabin built on the site in the 1820s. The cabin officially became the Lake White Club in 1938, serving fried chicken to visitors of the newly formed lake. The restaurant, and its chicken, quickly became so popular that a huge, screened-in front porch had to be added to the log cabin dining room. A few years ago, the log cabin was converted into an entrance foyer and lounge. Now, the porch is enclosed and the legacy of fine food and great atmosphere continues.
