Chamber of Commerce


The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote, support and serve our members and encourage economic development in the local and regional area. The Chamber shall provide leadership, benefits, and services to improve the quality of life in Stow and Munroe Falls.


The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce has been fortunate over the years to have a strong, dedicated leadership. The Chamber is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and managed by a courteous and professional staff that has also provided continuity since 1988. Chamber committees are invaluable to the success of Chamber goals and do the work of the Chamber, under the direction of the Board of Directors.

The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce is grateful to the men and women who have served with such dedication and acknowledge the fact that this volunteerism and far-sighted vision is the reason for recognition as a model chamber today.


What began in 1965 as a small group of business people interested in the economic development of the community, has become the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, now in its 35th year of helping to develop and grow business.

The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce has served the community well. They have actively participated in much of what has happened during this time and members have been at the forefront in leadership and business development.

Chamber membership is comprised of leaders and entrepreneurs in business, industry, government, education and community organizations, as well as civic leaders and individuals interested in the progressive growth of the two communities.

The Chamber is a voluntary partnership of more than 300 business and professional people working TOGETHER who take pride in their many accomplishments. The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce believes that TOGETHER they can make a difference!

The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and policy-making for the organization. Ten directors, plus the immediate past presidents, executive director and four ex-officio directors from community entities, meet on a monthly basis to direct the organization. They are responsible for establishing procedure and formulating policy. They are also responsible for the organization’s finances and the direction of its affairs. Directors may serve two two-year staggered terms with five re-elected annually. Officers are elected annually by the Board at the end of each year.

Chamber Office Staff

A small professional staff composed of a full-time Executive Director, a part-time Office Manager and Administrative Assistant, works with the Board of Directors to meet the goals and objectives of the organization. The Executive Director meets with the Board and Committees to develop and evaluate programs and activities, develop and meet the annual budget, establish policy and guidelines and recruit and lead volunteers. A major function of the Executive Director is to meet and recruit new Chamber members and continue to maintain a close relationship with them as they become more involved in Chamber work. The staff works with members to see that they are provided with information pertaining to business, to help promote business members through Chamber publications and programs, to make regular referrals of members and to manage day-to-day operations.


The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce takes pride in the strength of its committees and the volunteers who chair and serve on them. These are dedicated people who enjoy seeing the work of the Chamber carried out by their committees and take satisfaction in a job well done!
