The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce is the organization of choice for tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and leaders in the new manufacturing economy. Whether you’re a new business looking for the infrastructure and access to talent to move ahead, or an established organization driven to apply imagination and ingenuity to the business you’re in, here you’ll find the business expertise, advocacy, buying power and connections to accelerate your opportunity.
We’re here to help businesses in Northwest Ohio grow and prosper. The business expertise available through our Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Manufacturing and Technology Small Business Development Center (MTSBDC) and Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) programs equip businesses with the skills needed to enhance their competitiveness. Services offered by these programs include everything from providing business planning and financial analysis to assistance completing certification applications and accessing new business opportunities. The companies helped by these programs employ thousands in our area and are responsible for many millions in sales.
Through our continued advocacy efforts, we are protecting our members’ interests, keeping them informed and giving them a voice in shaping public policy and supporting good government. State officials recently looked to the Chamber to establish a process to identify and prioritize regional economic development projects for the state's FY15-16 capital budget. By bringing together members and representatives of several regional metropolitan lead organizations, the Chamber was able to bring forth recommendations that ensure the state capital budget bill maximizes the economic impact to the Toledo Region and has a multiplicative effect on the community in terms of jobs and other investments.
We also continue to save our members time and money on the products and services they need to run their businesses effectively and efficiently. Leveraging the buying power of the membership base is helping more than 70 percent of our membership reduce their cost of doing business. By working with our vendor partners, we are constantly striving to improve our programs, which offer savings on natural gas and electric energy costs, workers’ compensation premiums, health insurance, office supplies and more.
Through Chamber membership, our members are making important business connections, not only with one another, but with our community, young professionals and government officials as well. We offer numerous networking and educational opportunities, attended by thousands of participants each year. That does not begin to take into account our social media followers, our young professional members in EPIC Toledo and our dedicated committee volunteers.
We encourage you to utilize this Membership Directory and Community Resource Guide to make some connections of your own with our members. Together we can continue to strengthen the wonderful community that is the Toledo Region – Heart of the New Manufacturing Economy.
