Welcome to Ontario, Oregon and the Southwestern Treasure Valley!
On behalf of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to Ontario! We are located in eastern Oregon where the four rivers converge.
The Chamber of Commerce has been promoting our local business community since 1912. We will be celebrating our centennial this year with many activities. The Ontario Chamber of Commerce serves over 300 businesses, organizations, professionals and individuals that support a community which maintains a cultural diversity that has spanned over generations.
As you spend time in the area you’ll notice that economic development is a very important value in the way of life. From the recent construction of the Treasure Valley Community College’s Science building, the construction of new classrooms at the middle school and high school to the proposed renovations to the city’s aquatic center, these projects contribute to the value and quality of life people enjoy in Eastern Oregon and the Southwestern Treasure Valley.
Opportunity is what you make it and in this area there is a lot of opportunity in the making. Opportunities include introduction to law enforcement at the Snake River Correctional Facility assisted by the Treasure Valley Community College with updated instruction in the field. TVCC has also partnered with the area regional hospitals to assist in the placement of medical professionals graduating from the college. This is just a sample of opportunities that find their way to this area.
There are many events, cultural activities, recreational, lodging and dining facilities for everyone to enjoy, we hope you take a few minutes and explore the benefits of these businesses and activities.
We hope you will find this guide a valuable tool that will lead to great experiences in your visit to Ontario and the area. If you are just passing through or looking to relocate, the Chamber of Commerce office can provide you with relocations packets and all of the extra amenities needed. We hope you find your stay enjoyable.
