Education

Three public school districts serve Upper Bucks County. Quakertown Community School District serves the townships of Haycock, Milford and Richland as well as the boroughs of Quakertown, Richlandtown and Trumbauersville. Seven elementary schools, two middle schools, the freshman center, one high school and two academies, including an award-winning cyber option, compose the districts educational facilities.

Students residing within the townships of Bridgeton, Durham, Nockamixon, Springfield and Tinicum attend Palisades School District which offers three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.

The Pennridge School District, comprised of seven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school serves eight Upper Bucks County municipalities: the boroughs of Dublin, Perkasie, Sellersville and Silverdale, and the townships of Bedminster, East Rockhill, Hilltown and West Rockhill.

The three districts together oversee and operate the Upper Bucks County Technical School in Perkasie. Having a long history of providing superior technical education to high school and post graduate students in the region, the center’s modern classroom and amenities are complemented by a highly qualified staff who are dedicated to preparing students for immediate entry into the workforce or various types of higher education within the trades.

Upper Bucks County is also home to a wealth of private, parochial and charter schools including Quakertown Christian School, United Friends School, Faith Christian Academy, Upper Bucks Christian School, Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Performing Arts, River Valley Waldorf School, St. Isadore School, St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Lansdale Catholic High School to name a few.

Higher Education

Higher Education
A variety of higher education options are offered in and around the Upper Bucks region. Bucks County Community College (BCCC) offers associate degrees and certificate programs, continuing education and transfer opportunities with three campuses plus online learning. The Upper Bucks Campus offers complete associate degrees in Business Administration, Communication Studies, Education and Liberal Arts. Also available is a one-year certificate program in Phlebotomy, as well as continuing education and business training. Located in Perkasie, the Upper Bucks Campus is convenient to Quakertown and Doylestown. The original main campus is located in Newtown.

Also within close proximity are Temple University, Penn State, DelVal, DeSales University, Holy Family University and Lehigh University.
