Adding Value to the City

Leadership
From its earliest days, the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce has provided the city with leaders who are focused on community development and are always improving quality of life for our residential, civic and business communities.

Chamber members receive a substantial return on their membership investment through value-added services and effective representation before and within a wide variety of Central Texas Organizations.

Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce members work as a team to advance our goals of successful enterprise, responsible citizenship and enjoyable residential living.

The active involvements of our chamber committees have taken new strides to expand the horizons of our businesses and the citizens of the community.

The entire chamber leadership takes pride in their work to ensure that the City of Harker Heights remains “Right in the Middle of Where You Want to Be.”

Committees
The Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce prides itself on its commitment to our great city. Work through committees is one way in which the Chamber is able to accomplish so much for the community.

Ambassadors promote the chamber and business community through ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings and other events. Ambassadors serve as goodwill representatives at chamber orientations for new and existing members.

Economic Development works in close cooperation with city staff to grow and expand Harker Heights. It actively participates in the marketing of Harker Heights as an ideal business location. It provides a responsive task team available to represent the city before interested business organizations, and it conducts quarterly updates focused on further business growth opportunities.

Governmental Affairs promotes close ties with local government officials. It conducts quarterly sessions that focus on the latest developments in areas of specific interest.

Military Affairs supports active duty and retirees who have chosen to live in Harker Heights and the surrounding communities. Attending all Fort Hood community events, the committee members are liaisons between Harker Heights and Fort Hood.

After Hours Mixers Committee conducts monthly socials designed for everyone to meet fellow chamber members and spotlight new member businesses.

Fundraisers are held to promote the chamber and its members. A golf tournament is held in July, and the Annual Banquet takes place in January. The banquet recognizes selected individuals and business members for their effort during the preceding 12 months.
