Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin

Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin in Midland houses family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health and obstetrics, and gynecology practices. It is also home to the Jenna Welch Women’s Center, part of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health. This facility is adjacent to Midland Memorial Hospital and is staffed by Texas Tech University Health Sciences at the Permian Basin faculty doctors, who provide quality care to West Texans in a private-practice setting.

The family practice center provides medical care for individuals of all ages, including routine physicals, immunizations, annual gynecological exams, obstetrics, well-baby exams, screenings, minor surgery, urgent care and psychological counseling services.

The internal medicine physicians provide adult services in general and subspecialty internal medicine, including comprehensive evaluations, preventative health maintenance, patient education and consultation, and management of acute and chronic diseases.

A full range of obstetrics and gynecology services for women’s overall health care is available at Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin. These services include general obstetrics; high-risk (maternal-fetal medicine) obstetrics; obstetrics for diabetes; fetal stress testing; prenatal diagnosis; pre- and inter-conception counseling; obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasonography; general gynecology; colposcopy; gynecologic endocrinology; gynecologic oncology; urogynecology; women’s health care, from pre- to post-menopausal; and family planning services.

Behavioral health services offered in the Midland include adolescent and adult psychiatry services.

Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin in Midland continues the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center mission of providing quality health care, education and research in the Permian Basin.
