Welcome to Midlothian, Texas!
We are proud of our unique history and the giant strides in progress this community has made since being founded in 1888. Midlothian is located approximately 25 miles south of both Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, on the Eagle Ford escarpment. Midlothian has a rich history that dates back to the early days of the railroad. We started out as an agricultural community and have worked hard to retain the charm that small communities in Texas have offered in the past. Although we are growing by leaps and bounds, we have carefully managed our growth so that we offer a slower pace of life that few growing communities can offer.
As you review our community profile, you will discover our quality of life encompasses a wide variety of amenities. Excellent schools including college-level education, state-of-the-art conference facilities, healthcare services, first-class police and fire protection top the list.
Midlothian has a very progressive economic and community development program. These entities, together with our Chamber of Commerce, make Midlothian a great place to locate a business. Our diversified tax base with industry, manufacturing and retail provide many job opportunities for our residents.
We hope you will find, as so many have, that Midlothian has much to offer. Take the time to get out and meet the great families that call Midlothian, Texas, home. I think you will agree that our residents are special and have that “Texas Friendly” spirit. Whether you are here to visit or here to stay………………………………..Welcome to Midlothian.
