Plano Balloon Festival – As one of the city’s most defining events, it’s no surprise that Plano has earned the title of “The Balloon Capital of Texas.” Every September, over 100,000 people look to the Plano skies to see over 100 colorful hot air balloons of every shape and size lift off at Oak Point Park while enjoying the sounds of local bands and international performers and tastes of a variety of food vendors.
