Sachse, Texas is honored to be a part of both Garland and Wylie Independent School Districts.

Garland ISD
With an enrollment of almost 58,000 students at 71 campuses, Garland Independent School District ranks as the second-largest district in Dallas County and the twelfth largest in Texas. As suburbs of a national metropolis, Garland ISD’s tri-communities have always had the best of both worlds – the flavor and feel of small towns coupled with the amenities offered by a large city. This helps maintain a cozy feeling while allowing teachers access to the increased resources offered by larger districts.

Every school in GISD provides the same high level of instruction. However, that doesn’t mean you will find clone schools here. Campuses, like students, are unique with personalities that reflect the attitudes of their own students, parents and staff and none have more flair than those situated in the Garland ISD. The district serves Garland and portions of Rowlett and Sachse. For more information, visit

Wylie ISD
For more than 100 years the Wylie Independent School District has emphasized academic excellence through outstanding educational opportunities and award-winning extracurricular activities, all based on community values. And as we move into the 21st century, we remain focused on ensuring our students are prepared for a lifetime of success through a world-class education. All 19 Wylie ISD campuses have met the state’s highest academic standards, with more than half earning additional distinctions. In addition, Wylie ISD students boast scores above state and national averages on SAT and ACT college entrance exams. Based on their performance on the PSAT exam, the district annually lists students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. In 2012, Wylie ISD was one of just 12 districts statewide (and just 529 nationwide) to be named to the College Board Advanced Placement Honor Roll.

The Wylie ISD is home to approximately 13,500 students and continues to grow at an average of three percent per year. Students and staff conduct themselves according to “the Wylie Way,” the district’s nationally recognized values and character education program. The district serves Wylie as well as portions of Murphy, Sachse, St. Paul and Lavon. For more information, visit
