The Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau are designated as one of the top twenty Chambers of Commerce in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We pride ourselves on this accomplishment, and offer services to keep our Chamber in the forefront of all development and business expansion.
The Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is an effective advocate in our community. Since the Board is responsible for raising money, setting policy and conducting strategic planning, we have identified the key governance functions that must be retained. We thank our members whose experience and insights help build the Waxahachie Chamber and Convention & Visitors Bureau.
We are proud to offer one of the lowest dues structures in the State of Texas. This enables each business to become a member and be involved.
When a member says that they are interested in volunteering, we engage them immediately. We offer a legislative day in Austin. Having a group of members arrive at the Capitol en masse makes an impression, and is a great lobbying tool. More importantly, a legislative day helps our members develop relationships.
The Chamber website (www.waxahachiechamber.com) is a way that we brand the organization and its look. It has become a principal point of entry to the Chamber itself. The shiny new website has been designed exclusively for members and visitors to the community. It is a very important component of our member benefits.
Take a look around; let us know what you think. Our Program of Work is designed to aid business development within our community. We support and understand diversity and create ongoing forums of discussion.
During the past few years, the Legislative Committee has expanded its methods of sharing information by developing a curriculum to meet the specific needs of our membership. We pride ourselves in delivering timely updates to our members. Format, accessibility and delivery are everything in the information age. We will continue to evolve to meet member needs.
The best way to achieve success is to hire it. I, therefore, thank my talented staff with whom I am fortunate enough to work. We pay close attention to what our members say, and stay in contact with our stakeholders of changes within our environment. Attending educational sessions to keep our membership abreast of the changing environment is important. Using the best ideas, we try to transform and create ways of improving our association, the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau.
